Stu Steinman is a board-certified Sports Medicine doctor and the current attending physician at WestSports Medicine. A graduate of Tufts University and the SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine, Stu Steinman has more than 35 years of experience in the medical field. In addition to treating sport-related injuries, he currently runs a volunteer vaccination clinic for Builders Beyond Borders.

A student group based out of Norwalk, Connecticut, Builders Beyond Borders members work year-round on improving the social, economic, and health conditions in various communities around the world. Though students will also work on local projects, the bulk of the work is focused on fundraising for an international project, where students travel to a country to help the local people build.

In 2016 nine Builders Beyond Borders teams helped with four different projects in Ecuador. Living and working in communities for a week at a time, groups built four classrooms in Ballenita, two classrooms in El Tambo, classrooms for children under the age of five in El Carmen, and a medical clinic capable of serving eight neighboring communities in Pitana Bajo.
