A charitable organization based in Connecticut, Builders Without Borders engages high school students in global community service projects. Participating students and volunteers focus on community solutions, building everything from classrooms to aqueducts.

The focus of Builders Without Borders volunteers changes each year, with past teams traveling to the Dominican Republic, Guyana, and Peru. The 2016 project was in Ecuador.

In 2016, the high school students raised funds for their traveling expenses and project costs then spent the months of February, March, and April building facilities for Ecuadorian communities, such as new classrooms for the small fishing village of Ballenita in southern Ecuador.
