New York Jets Linebacker Receives All-Rookie Team Honors

New York Jets rising young star Darron Lee was part of the 2016 All-Rookie Team recognized by NFL.com. Though he had a quiet debut in the NFL in 2016, Lee recorded an impressive 73 tackles while starting only nine out of 13 games.

Drafted by the Jets with the 20th overall pick from Ohio State University, the 22-year-old inside linebacker suffered an ankle injury against Arizona in Week 6 but returned in Week 10 against St. Louis and finished the season well. While playing college ball for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Lee recorded 27.5 tackles resulting in yards lost and 12 sacks in the 2014-2015 season.

Standing at 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing 232 pounds, the young defensive specialist could be a force to be reckoned with for the Jets in the future.
